Ready to Lay Pullets
Location: Hughesville, PA
We previously sold Ready to Lay Pullets (aka started pullets) under our Badger’s Millside Farm brand in north-central Pennsylvania. To streamline our business, our pullet sales now go through The Bird Nerd (Badger’s LLC). We’re still the same people offering the same services. We offer pickup of live point of lay pullets from our Hughesville, PA location. We do not ship via USPS, but we do offer delivery for some orders.
Skip the Growout

We specialize in prolific egg laying sexlink genetics with full beak (untrimmed) pullets that were fed a Project NON-GMO certified feed. That’s a mouthful. It basically means, our first priority is to distribute a bird that aligns with the needs of pastured poultry farms. We typically provide started pullets for farms and backyard flocks ranging from six pullets to thousands of pullets.
Pullets are 16-17 weeks at time of pickup or delivery. Pullets typically lay their first egg between at 19 to 20 weeks of age, but age varies based on many factors (feed, time of year, etc).
Occasionally, we also raise and sell specialty pullets (e.g., easter eggers) and custom batches.
