All Poultry Man scalders and pluckers include a 1 year parts warranty. This means if a component fails within 1 year of purchase, we will ship you a new component at no charge. 

Motors and gearboxes being replaced under warranty must be returned to Poultry Man. 

Lead time for all orders is 2 weeks. Equipment is fabricated to your order. We consider an order to be ready to fabricate when we receive payment in full.

We have limited inventory available for pickup direct from Poultry Man; however, all shipped orders are fabricated to order.

How an item ships depends on what how big it is. For example, all processing equipment will ship via Fedex Freight. Smaller items such as individual kill cones or feeders or parts may ship UPS. If you add items to your cart that can be shipped UPS to an item that can be shipped freight, you will see an itemized shipping options. 

UPS orders are typically stocked and can be shipped out within 2 to 3 business days. 

Parts typically ship the next business day using Fedex Ground. Tracking numbers are not provided on most parts shipments. 

No. While we understand everyone has extenuating circumstances, our orders are fulfilled on a first in, first out order. It’s not appropriate to ask that your order be expedited at the expense of another customer. 

No. The towable charcoal grills and pig roasters are pickup only. They are road worthy; however, if you are traveling a long distance, loading the grills onto a bigger trailer can make for a smoother long-distance tow. 

We do contract some shipments with a private hauler who delivers for a per mile fee, calculated round trip from Mifflinburg, PA. It’s typically not economical for most orders. 

The Bird Nerd carries hand fabricated products made by local Amish and Mennonite communities. All the products carried on the site are made in the USA. Our most prominent brand is Poultry Man.

Payment in full makes an order and begins the fulfillment process. If you send a check, the start of the order begins when the check arrives.
