Terms and Conditions

Thank you for considering The Bird Nerd for your equipment purchase. Here are those details people often wonder about. 

We prefer you make your order online through the web store so that payment and order details are properly accounted for. Payment is due in full in order to start your order. 

Warranty

Processing equipment carries a 1 year parts warranty. If a component breaks within the warranty period, Poultry Man will send you a replacement part at no charge. You will be responsible for replacing the part. Alternatively, you can bring the equipment into Poultry Man for repairs and maintenance. 

Timelines

  1. Processing Equipment Shipping Timeframes – Expect 2 to 3 weeks to manufacture your scalder, plucker, tables, cone stands, etc. Shipping time is additional. Peak demand increases lead times. 
  2. Grills Shipping Time – Expect 2 weeks to manufacture your grill. 
  3. Parts Shipping Timeframes – Parts and small accessories that ship UPS Ground typically ship within 2-3 business days. 
  4. Fabrication and shipping timeframes are NOT guaranteed. We provide good faith estimates that can be impacted by supply challenges, weather, and high demand. 

Shipping

  1. Inspect the equipment prior to signing off on delivery when receiving an order via Fedex Freight. Note damages and consult us if there are questions. 
  2. If an order contains significant damage, refuse the order and send it back to Poultry Man.
  3. If you accept the order, Poultry Man will work with you to fix any issues. 

Refunds

Most problems you encounter can be worked through.

  1. You may cancel an order prior to shipping for a 95% refund. The 5% difference is to offset bank fees. 
  2. If you wish to return unused equipment, you must arrange that return with The Bird Nerd and Poultry Man within 7 days of receiving equipment. Equipment must be shipped back to Poultry Man in the same manner (packing, pallet, etc.) you received it. You are responsible for paying the return freight.
  3. Original freight charges you paid to receive the equipment are non-refundable.
  4. Custom fabrication orders are non-refundable.
